4th Quarter Updates

Greenwood Mill GatorsHappy Spring, Greenwood Mill! As you know, hybrid students will return to school 4 days a week beginning April 12, 2021. Hybrid students will attend school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will continue to be an asynchronous day, where students are expected to complete work in order to be counted as present.

Students in the all-distance model will remain in that model through the duration of the school year, unless space allows for additional hybrid students in school. Please call Greenwood Mill to inquire if hybrid space is available.

We will have to make some adjustments to our schedule in order to accommodate larger numbers of students per day. The car rider gate will open at 8:30 a.m. and we will start taking temperatures and unloading students at 8:30 a.m. Our goal is to get all students in the building by 9:00 a.m. to begin our instructional day. At the end of the day, the gate will open at 3:15 p.m. As cars arrive, we will record tag numbers and begin to bring students to their cars in order to have dismissal complete by 3:45 p.m. Bus riders will receive updated information from transportation if changes are made in times and bus routes due to the expansion of in person learning.

Please note that students will be sitting at 3 foot social distance in the classroom, but all other mitigation strategies will remain in place including temperature checks, mask requirements, hand washing, etc. In addition, teachers may need to adjust their daily schedules in order to provide additional support within the building while accommodating larger groups of students. Your students' teachers will communicate these specific changes with you. We thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate the expansion of in person learning in the 4th quarter. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions.
